UR CLIENTS FOR THIS PROJECT approached us with a simple brief for a new kitchen: high-end, clean lines, emphasis on marble and the use of neutral tones. The old kitchen space felt outdated and cluttered with a barely used island, which we removed to free up space for two young budding chefs, allowing them to move around freely while ensuring unhindered access to the rear garden via a set of double French doors. We added a breakfast bar to introduce a secondary seating area to the dining table.

The clients also included in the brief their love and implementation of modern lighting to create a bright and functional area for cooking.

The main feature and focus for this project was the quality and design of the marble. We sourced Calacatta marble from the Carrara region of Tuscany in Italy, known for its vast mountain quarries and quality. The chosen marble exhibited deep, bold veining with a crisp white background - characteristics of a unique and rare stone. Our client loved this look and opted to replace the entire ground floor wood flooring with the selected marble.

We designed bespoke, handleless cabinetry for the kitchen, ensuring plenty of storage space for the growing family. The worktop and preparation areas were intentionally designed with minimalism in mind so the focus remains on the marble.

Lighting installation included linear LED strips and pendant fixtures above the breakfast bar and dining table, as well as stylish wall sconces from designer John Cullen. Finally, we added an integrated Gaggenau oven to complete the project.
